My report is about the Fennec Fox. Fennec foxes live in the deserts of Africa. They live in a family group. They have a litter of 2-5 pups every year. Fennec Foxes live in burrows that they stay in for the hottest part of the day. They also make tunnels underground that can be 32 feet long so that when a predator comes, they have places they can go so that they are safe from a predator. That is some information about how they build their houses.

Fennec foxes are interesting. They are a master at camouflage. They have black spots on their tails. Their coats are long and soft. They have red and beige coloring. Their furry coat protects them from the sun. Fennec foxes can grow to 14-16 inches long and their tail is 7 to 12 inches. They can live for 10 years in the wild. They are interesting because usually furry coats are for keeping warm.

Fennec foxes are nocturnal. They use their ears to catch prey under the sand and to keep heat away. They try to get plants to eat, and they eat reptiles, rodents, and insects. They can go a long time without drinking water. They get their water from their diet of plants and animals. They could jump 2 feet high and leap 4 feet long, this helps them to catch their prey.
