Living Life to the Fullest

My story starts at Great Wolf Lodge, Manteca, CA. I was going to do the green capsule slide where the floor slides out beneath your feet, but when I got to the top I was TERRIFIED. I was hesitating and hesitating. The lifeguard was encouraging me and was super calm about it. Then, this boy, a few years older than me came up and made a deal with me. The deal was that if he went down before me, I would go after him. He went down, but I was still hesitant about going into the capsule. Then the craziest thing happened! My dad was in line with me, and he started chanting my name and clapping. Then everyone started clapping along! So, I stepped inside the capsule. A robotic voice did a countdown: 3, 2, 1, Launch! … and I dropped 20 feet and slid the rest of the way down! I felt really good after. I learned that day that fear can stop you from living life to the fullest.
