Ocelots are a type of big cat. They are about twice the size of a normal house cat. Ocelots are 29-39 inches long and 16-20 inches tall. Females weigh 14.5-25 pounds, and males weigh 15-34 pounds. They have a special coat pattern with stripes and spots that acts like a fingerprint because the pattern is different for every ocelot.
Ocelots live in North and South America. They are nocturnal hunters and eat rabbits, birds, lizards, snakes, fish, and even small mammals like monkeys and sloths. The baby ocelots eat rabbits, young deer, and fish. The ocelot's spots help it camouflage into its habitat so that it can hide while it's hunting and then attack.
Unlike lizards, mother ocelots stay with their babies for about 2 years so the mom can nurture and care for them. The mom will teach the baby how to hunt and find water sources. Ocelots are naturally good swimmers and good hunters.
That is the information I know about Ocelots.
